The Butter Yellow Collection

Delicately joyful watercolour ranunculus in the most gorgeous shades of golden yellow and cream.

Warm, sunny, and completely irresistible- the Butter Yellow collection is pure happiness on paper. Lush watercolour ranunculus and soft white blooms in gorgeous shades of golden yellow, cream, and sage green create butter yellow wedding stationery that feels like a sun-drenched garden party at its very best. There's a freshness to this palette that's genuinely uplifting.

Perfect for spring and summer weddings, garden venues, and couples who want bright, joyful wedding invitations with real elegance. It's cheerful without being loud, joyful without being saccharine, and the kind of floral wedding stationery your guests will keep long after the last dance.

Warm, sunny, and completely irresistible- the Butter Yellow collection is pure happiness on paper. Lush watercolour ranunculus and soft white blooms in gorgeous shades of golden yellow, cream, and sage green create wedding stationery that feels like a sun-drenched garden party at its very best. There's a freshness to this palette that's genuinely uplifting, and a quiet warmth that makes it work as beautifully for an intimate gathering as for a celebration with two hundred guests.

This collection suits spring and summer weddings particularly well- April through August, when the natural world is doing its most generous work. It sits at home in garden venues, country houses with conservatories, marquees in beautiful gardens, and any celebration where the styling leans soft, fresh, and slightly retro in the best possible way. Butter yellow is also having a proper moment in fashion and interiors right now, so this collection feels current as well as timeless.

The ranunculus illustrations are painted in soft watercolour- that lovely loose, layered quality where you can almost see the brushwork. The palette runs from buttery cream and soft custard through to warm gold, gently anchored by sage green foliage that keeps everything from feeling too sweet. It photographs beautifully against natural materials- woven placemats, raw linen, cream candles, wooden cake stands- and pairs effortlessly with both ivory and gold metallic styling.

Available as the full suite: save the dates, wedding invitations with matching details and RSVP cards, complete on the day stationery (order of service booklets, place cards, menu cards, table numbers, table plans, welcome signs, additional signage), and thank you cards. Finishing touches include belly bands, envelope liners, address printing, and sealing stickers. Want to push the warmth further? I can add subtle gold foil details, work in a venue illustration, or swap envelopes for a complementary sage.

Order a printed sample to see the depth of the watercolour in person- yellow is one of those colours that really shifts depending on the paper, and this one looks particularly good on a softly textured stock. If you love the palette but want something built entirely around your venue and story, bespoke design takes this same warm spirit and makes it completely yours.
